It is a wonder to observe the way the mind of a child works --

Sooraj has a rather different sense of ownership. If Ranjani has been reading a book for some time, she assumes that the book belongs to her. He would not allow anyone else to touch it. The moment I pick up the book Ranjani has been reading, he says -- "Amma ku", snatches it my hand, runs and give it to Ranjani - and vice-versa too. If he sees someone using some stuff, he assumes that it belongs to them. No one else can use it. One would have to convince him a lot before he would allows me to touch the book Ranjani was reading.

So, for now, if Ranjani and I want to swap the books that we have been reading, we have to do it after he goes to sleep. :)
