Summer is here !
The days are getting longer and hotter,
The early mornings are so pleasant and mildly chilly,
Watermelons, Tender Coconuts and Grapes adorn the fruit carts to quench the thirst,
The beautiful long trees of our streets are bursting forth into blooms of lavender, mauve and various hues of pink. It is a visual treat to watch these flowers in full bloom.
I keep hearing various bird sounds and recently discovered this bird, which frequents the tree next to our apartment. After a little research we found out it is the barbet. It so beautifully merges with the leaves that it easy to miss it. Here is a picture of the bird from our balcony.
I so love this season !
