Random Thoughts

In the excitement of buying a new OTG, I attempted baking cookies multiple times - one was a "burned" disaster, two which yielded crisp cookies but slightly burnt , one batch was chowk chowk and not tasty and finally one batch which yielded the most perfect choco chip cookies I have ever made :-). So I am still getting to know my new oven ! The banana cake which I tried with cinnamon flavouring came out well.

Krishna Jayanthi special was appam ! After 2 batches of appam (which were made in the appa kuzhi), I had batter for just 2 more big appams. So I thought , why not my muffin cups and bake them ?!! So whisked in a little oil and ghee and put them in the oven. Got two yummy baked appams, but ofcourse they were no match for the oily crispy appams out of the appa kuzhi :-). My latest passion showed itself in my Naivedyam offering for our Krishnar !
