Snippets of our daily life

Shraddha and me reach the bus stop 5 to 10 mts earlier than the school bus's arrival time. So usually there is 10 to 15 mts to kill there. Here are some snippets of our morning conversations (rather her monologues), as we watch the world pass by.

S : Amma, look at that tree..some one has cutten the branches. It looks different now.

Me : Yeah, right. By the way it is "cut" not "cutten".

S : Amma, what is this pink thingie on this leaf..it looks yucky.

Me : May be someone spit their gum on the leaf.

S : What an idiot he must be to do something like that.

.....

S : Amma, see that cow is doing susu on the road. Giggling to herself now. But what will it do ..it does not have a toilet !

Me (mentally) : Some of the men folk are also like these erumai madu only.

.....

S : Amma, LOOK...some fools have put plastic covers and plastic bottles in the midst of all these plants....chaa ....

.....

S : (Watching a mother escort three kids to school)..Amma, that aunty seems to have three kids...why ?

....

S : Amma you know what...my friend told me that she wanted to have long hair. But I warned her that if she had long hair, which comes upto her bums then it will become so messy when she does her potty (giggles to herself )

Me : (Trying to keep a straight face) Shraddha, if girls have long hair then they will make sure that they tie it neatly into a bun or pony or plaits so it will never come in the way of the potty.

S : But amma, just in case, they don't do that, it will also be full of potty right ?!

.........

S (very excitedly): Amma, look at the Touch-me-not plant. See this is how you touch it, so that it closes it's leaves !

By now the bus arrives and the next target is the child with whom she sits. Even before she can take her seat, she starts talking to her !
